Clarendon Hotel Brilliant!
Outstanding restaurant, visited just for a birthday meal. The staff were excellent in service, brilliant pianist, lovely clean dining area overlooking hotel garden and the food was fantastic! One of the best birthdays i have had. Well worth the money and it has made me and my family want to book a room in the future.

Charlton Athletic Football Club - Football Club

Distance 1.69 miles (2.71 km)
Charlton's early years, after being formed in 1905, saw them play across the whole of south London before they eventually settled at the Valley in 1919. It was a foretelling of the most dramatic moment in the club's history over 70 years later. The Addicks were promoted to the top-flight for the first time in 1936, and 11 years later they won their first (and so far, only) major honour - the FA Cup. Fast Fact: Charlton beat Sunderland in 2002/3 3-1 without scoring a goal as all three were own goals in the space of 8 minutes! Fast Fact: Charlton current Assistant Manager Keith Peacock became the first ever substitute to appear in the Football League back in 1965.
