Lovely Short Break
From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. We had a double room with a lovely view. The room was clean, bright and airy and the bed was nice and comfortable. Plenty of choice for breakfast using local products and cooked to order. We took our dog with us and he was made to feel at home too. I would definitely stay at the Lodge again.

Lovely Stay
We stayed during the regatta and booked the room at quite short notice. Owners are really friendly and helpful. The lodge is a very traditional B&B, its very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts are fabulous, nothing too much trouble. If there is one negative it would be the bathroom or more precisely the plumbing. The hot water was a trickle and the shower lacked power. Overall lovely place to stay.

It is abundantly clear that Graham and Kay take a great pride in their business. We stayed for 4 nights last week and were treated to magnificent breakfasts, comfortable room with commanding views and friendly atmosphere, all of which qualities were reflected in other guests\' happy times.

The local scenery, walks and countryside are just so lovely, details of which Graham and Kay are most knowledgeable.

It is difficult to find the words to expand on other reviews here. For my wife and I, if you\'re happy to have us back, we\'ll return, soon. Best wishes and regards to you both.

Very Pleasant Stay!
We had a lovely time at Raddicombe Lodge which

is only a short distance to the scenic harbour of Brixham.

Our room was perfect for a small family of two adults and a child. The tasty full English breakfast brought us through the day. Altogether I can highly recommend Raddicombe Lodge.

A Happy Weekend!
One of the best guest houses we have ever stayed in! It's in an excellent spot with gorgeous coastal views from the bedrooms and garden and the service we received was both friendly and professional. Our bedroom was lovely, spacious, attractively decorated and spotlessly clean. I would wholeheartedly recommend Raddicombe Lodge to anyone - and our dog was made very welcome as well. Dartmouth Castle - Devon - Castle

Dartmouth Castle - Devon - Castle

Distance 2.52 miles (4.03 km)
This brilliantly positioned defensive castle juts out into the narrow entrance to the Dart Estuary, with the sea lapping at its foot. Begun in the late 14th century, the castle was intended to protect the warehouses and homes of Dartmouths merchants. It was one of the earliest castles built with the prospect of artillery attack in mind. It is said that Chaucer based The Shipman character in his Canterbury Tales on the colourful John Hawley the merchant and mayor of Dartmouth who built the first castle on this site. Today, you can enjoy other tales of the castle as you journey through time from the Tudor period and the Civil War to World War II. Displays on the castles 600-year history add to the experience.
