Hotel With Character
Nice old building from 1900, interieur with character of the traditional building, large rooms, bar for watching football matches, restaurant, directly at the beach. I enjoyed it.

Excellent
Stopped in January 2017. 1st class. Staff were so friendly and helpful, rooms great and on the whole it is excellent value for money. I've booked my sales guy in again for this week and will continue to use this hotel on a regular basis when any of my team are working in the area.

Pleasant Stay
Nice stay in a pleasant hotel on the sea front. Didn't get out and about but stayed in the hotel for food and drink.

Back Again
A dark, cold, windy winters night. Arrived after a 3.5 hour drive to a warm reception and a bright and bubbly receptionist. Quick check in, nice warm comfortable room. Down for dinner which was casual with plenty of choice.

Bar staff pleasant, surroundings very "Local"

Breakfast next morning sufficient, check out equally as bright and quick as check in.

TV remote did not work (a pet hate of mine in hotels) but everything else was fine.

Good value, and the whole experience is why I avoid the local upmarket hotels. Hartlepool visits seem to automatically equal Marine Hotel stays.

Excellent One Night Stay
Lovely big room overlooking the sea front, wasn't expecting that at all! I only booked 2 days before.

The bar area was really nice and plenty of choice as to where to sit.The wi fi was very good anywhere in the hotel.Lots of options for food on bar menu and reasanably priced., although I chose the chicken tikka curry and was disappointed because there was far too much onion in it! Full English in the morning was really good, staff were all very polite and helpful and a complimentary Sunday newspaper which was a nice touch. Will definitely return when Cambridge play Hartlepool next season. Thanks.

Great Stay.
Room was good size, beds comfortable and had all we needed for our weekend stay. Breakfast was excellent with choice of cereal s and selection of hot food. We had one carvery dinner in the Marine but decided to be adventurous and eat out the second night. Can recommend Marine, we'll be back.

Would Totally Recommend This Hotel.
Stayed here for 3 nights and our stay was all we could have wished for and more. All staff were extremely approachable and friendly, food was of an exceptional high standard and very reasonable priced. Room was more than big enough for the two of us.

Hartlepool United Football Club Formed in 1908. The ground was greatly improved in the mid 1990's, with the construction of two new stands. The Cyril Knowles Stand is the newer of the two side stands. It is a small single tier covered, seated stand which is raised above ground level. At the other side is the Camerons Brewery Stand which has covered seating to the rear and open terrace to the front. The newer end is the small Expamet Town End, a covered terrace, for home fans. The other end, the Rink End stand, is a small covered all seated stand which houses away supporters.

Distance 2.38 miles (3.8 km)
Surrounded on three sides by the sea, the Magnesian Limestone headland or peninsula called the Heugh at Hartlepool is more familiarly known as Old Hartlepool. Hartlepool may not always readliy accept association with Teesside, it has its own natural harbour to the north of the river, but in recent centuries its industrial history has been very closely tied up with the River Tees. In prehistoric times Hartlepool's headland is thought to have been an isolated tidal island covered by thick forests. In the nineteenth century during excavation of the adjacent marshy area called the Slake, trunks of trees from the ancient forest were found embedded in the clay along with antlers and the teeth from deer that seem to have inhabited the area in large numbers many years ago.

Hartlepool Golf Course is situated on the North East Coast of England within sight and sound of the sea. From spring to autumn the course is ablaze with the colour of wild flowers. The area is well known to botanists and has been declared a Site of Special Scientific Interest By the Nature Conservancy Council. The course offers a challenge to the experienced player as well as the novice. The wind frequently blows, changing its nature from day to day. Visitors are welcome. The course is seldom closed because of the sandy nature of the soil.
