Had A Lovely Stay, Excellent Staff, Great Location
I had a cozy clean single room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is great (is near a bus stop that goes to the City Centre, near the Botanic gardens and near a hop-on and hop-off bus stop). I will certainly be staying here again the next time I visit!

Cosy, Quiet Stay
I had a lovely stay at the Inverleith, it\'s in a great location, short walk to the city centre and stockbridge, right next to the botanical gardens. My room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfy, the shower was good and I had a great night\'s sleep, it was very quiet. Would definitely recommend, thanks!

Another Excellent Stay
Both my partner and I love staying here, it is our home away from home. We try and stay at least once a month and for no reason other than how good it is as we only stay 10 miles away. The service is excellent and the young guy that has checked us in the last few times has been fantastic.

Pleasant And Comfortable Stay
The staff was most friendly and helpful. We chose one of the smaller rooms but it was efficient enough for us to stay for 5 nights. We liked the location because we could walk downtown or take the bus. Access to the Botanical Garden was a bonus. We would gladly chose The Inverleith Hotel again.

Fantastic Customer Service And Brilliant Nights Sleep
We stayed here for one night, prior to a funeral nearby at Warriston Crematorium. The staff were so friendly, accomodating, and really brought a smile to our faces. The room was beautiful, the Castle View suite, and it was great value for money.

Georgian House - Edinburgh - Historical Houses

Distance 0.8 miles (1.28 km)
The Georgian House is part of Robert Adam's masterpiece of urban design, Charlotte Square. It dates from 1796, when those who could afford it began to escape from the cramped, squalid conditions of Edinburgh's Old Town to settle in the fashionable New Town. The first owner, John Lamont, 18th Chief of the Clan Lamont, lived here with his family until 1815. The house's collections of beautiful china, shining silver, paintings and furniture all reflect the domestic surroundings and social conditions of the times. In the audio-visual room, video programmes describe the history of the New Town and in more dramatic form A Day in the Life of The Georgian House.

A majestic landmark which dominates the capital city's skyline just as it has dominated Scotland's long and colourful history. Edinburgh Castle is the best known and most visited of Historic Scotland's buildings. Perched on an extinct volcano and offering stunning views, this instantly recognisable fortress is a powerful national symbol, and part of Edinburgh's World Heritage Site. A rich mix of architectural styles reflects the castle's complex history and role as both stronghold and seat of Kings. The tiny St Margaret's Chapel, Edinburgh's oldest building, dates from the 1100s.
