A Good Value Hotel
We found this a very comfortable hotel with friendly service. The breakfast was first class, in their very well appointed restaurant. We would be very happy to stay here again should we be on a similar visit to Llanrwst.

Lovely Hotel And Stay
눇Lovely large huge with huge ceiling height, beautifully and empatheticly decorated. One of the best beds I've ever slept in away from home. Pillows also very comfy, always something I struggle with! Amenities were excellent, having hair dryer and straighteners in the room was very handy. Lovely touch with the decanter of sherry, in addition to bottled water and usual tea/coffee offering. The hotel restaurant was shut but did have a nightcap in the bar after wandering into town for food. Overall a lovely stay and the manager was very hospitable. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

We stayed in the Family Room 3 adults 1 child for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. My sister had arranged for Champers on arrival and that was in the room. Room lovely and bright, clean and warm. Tea/coffee facilities appreciated. Breakfast was lovely as was evening meal we had booked. We had a great stay and would have no hesitation in recommending Meadowsweet. Thanks

Excellent Hotel
My wife and kids and I really enjoyed staying at the Meadowsweet Hotel. The proprietor, Nelson was so helpful and accommodating. The rooms were fresh, clean and the best I have seen in a hotel so far. The views of the welsh countryside from the big Victorian windows were spectacular. The food served for breakfast or dinner delicious and befitting of a fine restaurant. This is a quality hotel, with great attention paid to the fine details. Excellent value beyond the price per night. In fact I was surprised at how nice it was for what we paid to stay there. I have stayed in other hotels which costed twice as much bet were only half as nice as the Meadowsweet Hotel.

I was so impressed with the Meadowsweet Hotel that I will definitely be staying there again.

I highly recommend.

A Quirky Gem Of A Find
We really enjoyed our short stay at the Meadowsweet Hotel. We booked this Hotel en route for the open day at Bangor University as we were having trouble getting booked into Bangor itself. This turned out to be a real gem of a find. The Room for three of us was nicely decorated and very clean. We ate our evening meal and breakfast at the hotel as well, which also turned out to be an excellent choice. The presentation and the service were both excellent. We loved the cozy ambience the good background music and smooth beer in the bar area. Definitely quirky and excellent value for money.

Perfect Stay!
We had a lovely nights stay in the Meadowsweet. We got upgraded when we got there which was lovey so had a 4 poster bed with a decanter of sherry to greet us. The room itself was amazing. Very clean and decadent! But I'm not used to the noise of a road, which woke me up in the morning. But other than that it was all perfect. Thanks for your warm welcome, we'll be sure to visit again!

From the moment we arrived in the hotel, the atmosphere was warm and friendly.

This feel continued throughout our stay so much so that we decided to dine in the bar which wasn't our original plan.

The meal was delicious and the service from all staff was excellent.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be visiting again very soon we hope!

Great Stay At A Wonderful Hotel
We stayed at the Meadowsweet having come to the area to walk up Snowdon, we had a recommendation from someone who had previously stayed at the hotel and we weren't disappointed.

From the moment we arrived Nelson, the owner, made us feel at home.

The room was clean, airy and well-equipped with everything you would expect to find in a hotel room plus added extras such as hair straightners!

A good choice of cold and hot food was available for breakfast, including a hearty full cooked English fry up and American pancakes with maple syrup - a great way to fuel up for the long days ahead exploring the local area.

The evening menu in the Lle Hari restaurant offered a good choice of food at a reasonable price, with large portions of good quality food being served.

Nelson ensured we had everything we needed and was on hand with advice about local attractions to visit.

A lovely hotel, in a good location for exploring Snowdonia and North Wales - would highly recommend!

Plas Mawr Elizabethan Town House - Museum

Plas Mawr Elizabethan Town House - Museum

Distance 9.72 miles (15.54 km)
At the heart of Medieval Conwy stands Plas Mawr, the "Great Hall", built between 1576 and 1585 for the Welsh merchant, Robert Wynn. This richly decorated building is an architectural gem, possibly the best preserved Elizabethan townhouse in Great Britain. It dominates the town of Conwy with its gatehouse, stepped gables and lookout tower. This "worthy plentiful house" is especially noted for the quality and quantity of its ornamental plasterwork, now fully restored to its original splendour. Plas Mawr's authentic period atmosphere is further enhanced by furnishings, many original to the house, based on an inventory of the contents in 1665.The interior with its elaborately decorated plaster ceilings and fine wooden screens, reflects the wealth and influence of the Tudor gentry in Wales.
