Weekend Business
From my booking experience to arriving at this beautifully arranged and located guest house was excellent. The owners welcomed me even though I arrived very very late and made me feel home for a qik overnight stay. B/fast was arranged on arrival and at 0600am as per my wish all was ready and I had a very good start. Room and VIP parking made the stay much more personal. Room , bath and all other facilities were in top condition. So if you plan a trip short or longer term I can only recommend the Risley Guest house. Thanks for looking after me.

Highly Recommended
We came to the Derby area for a wedding.

Found Risly Guest House by chance but read the reviews and decided to book.

We had a great stay! Very clean and tidy B&B with friendly and helpful staff. Will come and stay again.

If you prefer to stay at a smaller place we highly recommend Risley Guest House!

A Nice Alternative
The chalet style rooms where nicer than the usual "cold" feeling of a hotel. Nice welcome. Plenty of coffee/tea/milk. Wish I had time to stay longer. Thank you.

Welcoming Stay
What a lovely place, we were met as we got out the car. Our room was very nice, home from home. Clean warm and very comfy. Our breakfast was delivered to our room, which was very nice. I would recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Nottingham area.

Great Stay In Risley.
My wife and I booked in at Risley guest house for one night. The room was very comfortable and clean. We were met by Richard the owner, who was very helpful. We visited the Risley park pub next door and had a great meal, the staff were great and very accomadating. Well recommended for the both places.

Erewash Valley Golf Club - Ilkeston - Golf

Formed in 1905, the Erewash Valley Golf Club fully deserves its reputation as a top class golf course. An excellent and scenic use of natural features provides enjoyable year round golfing, and will test the skills of all standards of golfer. The well maintained 18 hole course along with our welcoming clubhouse is a favourite with golfing societies and for corporate days out. We also provide an excellent sixteen acre practice area, a par 3, and putting greens adjacent to the clubhouse. On site is the professionals shop with golfing tuition and lessons available.

Derby County Football Club - Football Club

Derby County Football Club - Football Club

Distance 5.2 miles (8.32 km)
The new stadium was opened by Her Majesty the Queen in 1997, is totally enclosed with all corners being filled. One corner is filled with executive boxes, giving the stadium a continental touch. The large Toyota West Stand which runs down one side of the pitch is two tiered, complete with a row of executive boxes. The rest of the ground is smaller in size than the West Stand, as the roof drops a tier to the other sides, making it look unbalanced. It is a pity that the West Stand could not be replicated throughout the rest of the stadium as this would have made it truly magnificent.

American Adventure Theme Park - Theme Park

American Adventure Theme Park - Theme Park

Distance 5.3 miles (8.47 km)
A new frontier of family fun. A wild day out for all the family, at fantastic value for money that's The American Adventure! And there's been so much going on at the Derbyshire based theme park this year. The park is undergoing a major facelift over the next two years, with new investment in rides and attractions specifically for the family and younger children. There may be less white knuckle thrills this season, but there's heaps more fun and adventure for kids aged 4-14 (and grown-ups too!) as favourites like the Runaway Train, JCB World and Buffalo Stampede are joined by fab new family rides. Blast off with Rascal Rocket, bounce aboard the Bronco Buggies and look out for more exciting new attractions throughout 2005. From the wild frontier of the old West to the final frontier of space, you're guaranteed an American adventure that will keep you smiling all day long. Ride the railroad, cruise the lake on the Mississippi paddleboats, chat to a chipmunk in the adventure farm and remember to keep an eye open for Rocky Racoon and Miss Hugsy Bear too!
